If i had to sum up my day in one word i believe that word would be: Music. My friend gave me a Itunes gift card for my birthday and I spent several days just thinking about all the songs I could and would buy for myself. I finally got around to it. I bought songs that i have always loved buy would never but in C.D. form, such as: Moving out (Anthony’s song) by Billy Joel, The Chain by Fleetwood Mac, and We can work it out by Stevie Wonder (which might just be better than the original by The Beatles). I also bought some new songs which I had barely even heard before i bought: From such Great heights by The Postal service, and From such great heights by Iron and wire, you would not believe how different the same song could be! When you were young by The Killers and Take me out by Franz Fredinand i bought because i fell in love with them playing guitar hero, and Sleeping Lessons by The Shins i bought because it enchanted me on a cell phone commercial. My favorite purchase or the day has to be Undone, Say it Ain’t so, and Buddy Holly, all by Weezer but redone by the Vitiaman String Quartet in a beautifully classical way. Now all i need is an Ipod.
Perfect.
My perfect day. It would be warm but raining HARD. I’d run and jump and laugh and play alone in the rain, all the way to the library. No one, not even a librarian would be there, I’d use the side doors and the alarm wouldn’t go off once. I’d blast Music at it’s highest volume, every song that has ever made me smile and dance and run for hours. I’d read books I have always wanted to but were to embarrassed to. I’d leave after I’d read and danced to my heart’s content. I’d hug that lady with sad eyes. I’d make her give me a real smile. I’d fall asleep watching a heart warming movie that makes me feel good. And I’d dream, a good dream, but not one in particular.
New Year.
This is January 1st(even if the date says it’s july 10). That said here is a list of things I hope to do in 2008.
- Paint my Bedroom. This is not as easy as it sounds, What with me being a 16 year old and have a the mess to prove it. It will take my two very bravest best friends to help me with this. not that I’ve asked them or my parents for that matter.
- Buy a laptop! This is a big dream. but the compter that i am writting on at this moment is more slow than me the first time i ever drove. The space bar doesn’t work unless you pound on it with you fist and this as you can imagine takes up sweet time.
- Not fall to pieces when my best friend moves away to go to collage.
- Be a better student.
And here is my list of what Hope and pray will happen in this coming year.
- My little Brother will come home.
- The boy i like will start to like me back.
- All the friends i have lost contact with will contact me, or at least respond to me.
Here’s to this being a better year than the last.
